Co-Chair Welcome

Welcome from the Congress Co-Chairs

Welcome to Melbourne

Melbourne, the vibrant capital city of the Australian state of Victoria, is renowned for its cultural diversity, artistic flair, and thriving culinary scene. Nestled along the shores of Port Phillip Bay, Melbourne boasts a dynamic atmosphere that seamlessly blends historic architecture with modern skyscrapers.

One of Melbourne’s most iconic features is its laneway culture, where hidden alleys adorned with colourful street art unveil a treasure trove of hidden cafes, boutiques, and bars.

Beyond its urban delights, Melbourne is also a gateway to natural wonders, with easy access to the stunning Great Ocean Road, the Yarra Valley wine region, and picturesque Mornington Peninsula. Whether exploring its cultural precincts, indulging in gastronomic delights, or immersing oneself in its natural beauty, Melbourne never fails to captivate visitors with its infectious energy and endless charm.

The city’s love affair with coffee is equally renowned, with a thriving cafe culture that rivals any in the world. Melburnians take their coffee seriously, and the city’s laneways are dotted with cozy espresso bars and specialty roasters, each serving up their own unique blend.

ICSEI 2025 in Melbourne marks third time this ICSEI’s flagship event is held in Australia and 38th conference since the inaugural congress in 1988 in London. This time ICSEI will offer some new conference sessions, such as interactive morning dialogues and opportunities to build new relationships between research, policy and practice. We are excited to focus on redefining education through purpose and new opportunities.

In Australia, Victoria is also known as the education state. All things considered, Melbourne is a perfect host for ICSEI 2025. Come and be inspired, impressed and enjoy what our university and its one of the most livable cities can offer to you, whether you come fron near or far. You are warmly welcome!
